As more and more school work is being completed on a computer, keyboarding (or typing) skills is becoming a vital skill that all students need to know. Typing a project should not be the part that takes the most time and effort. It is important that students are able to type without always looking at the keyboard. To help with this, I found a site that focuses on keyboarding skills:
Typing Tutor
We are in the middle of several writing projects at the moment, and many students are recognizing that being able to type quickly is extremely helpful. :)
Once students know keyboarding basics that are well-covered using the Typing Tutor, games are a great way to practice these skills and make them automatic. The following site is one of many that has keyboarding activities:

How to help out?
There are three ways to help out in our classroom:
- Spend time reading with your child & get organized between home and school
- Volunteer your time - please touch base if this is your choice
- Provide classroom items listed on our Classroom Wish List
